Lily & Adam did a great job for us and we would definitely recommend them. We wanted our existing conservatory guttering replaced. They were both very friendly & easy to talk to. Job was arranged & completed to suit us. They had a problem with some of the fittings as the supplier didn’t have enough. So, they drove all the way over to High Wycombe to pick up the fittings, drove back & completed the job. Lily even repaired a plant pot that I had broken the day before.
A few days after the job was completed we had a very heavy downpour of rain. Lily even got in touch to check whether the guttering had held up & if there were any problems. Of course it held up well & no problems.
Again, we would definitely recommend.
Creative solution to solve a leak to a roof

We had a hard to trace leak to our conservatory roof. Other companies had tried and failed to solve it. After the repair we had a very long dry spell so I couldn't tell if Bear House Build had succeeded where others had failed. However, I can now report that with some creative thinking, they came up with a new solution that has worked! I'm very pleased with the result. I'm just sorry it's taken me so long to write a review.

The garage roof was in a very poor state, the quote was reasonable with everything explained at all stages. Lily and her team were very pleasant to deal with, doing everything they could to be tidy and thorough even working on through driving rain. Since the work has been completed there has been some torrential downpours, not a drop has come in. I have no hesitation in recommending Bear Housebuild and Roofing. Very happy customer.

I contacted Bear House Build on behalf of my parents, who needed some repairs to the roof of their house. Lily and Adam visited quickly and assessed the nature of the work required, providing clear explanations throughout; their friendly and approachable demeanor impressed my parents greatly. The work was carried out to an excellent standard, on time and according to the quote provided, with suggestions for additional work made without any pressure, which again my parents appreciated. I would certainly use BHB again and would recommend them if asked. Ten thumbs up!

All goods remain property of Bear House Build and Roofing Ltd until paid for in full. We will issue a payment reminder prior to the invoice breaching the final ‘pay by’ date- Failure to pay the invoice by dedicated day (date shown on invoice issued to yourself), will result in a fixed late penalty charge (8% of final invoice), a daily late payment fee for each day unpaid and a one off administration fee.
Late Payment Charges Broken Down- We charge a daily late payment fee which is calculated at £5 for every day that payment has not been made (starts day after date stated as last date for payment) The fixed late penalty charge is calculated at 8% of the final invoice amount (For example should the invoice amount be for £4500, the. The fixed late penalty charge will be £4500 X 0.08 = £360) In addition we charge a one-off administration fee, which changes depending on the size of the invoice: £80 for a debt less than £1000; £130 for a debt between £1000 and £10,000; and £200 for a debt of £10,000 or more.
So should an invoice go unpaid for £4500+VAT- you will incur a £5 daily payment fee for every day unpaid, a fixed late penalty charge which is 8% of the final invoice (£4500 X 0.08 = £360) and a one off administration fee (in this case £130).
Warranty Terms
Bear House Build & Roofing Ltd warrants that for the period listed on your warranty to repair or replace any defect material of workmanship within the warranty period at no expense to the customer. This warranty will automatically transfer to any new owner of the mentioned property . This limited warranty covers roof leaks caused by defective workmanship and does not include roof leaks caused by: (1) Obstruction or impairment of improper drainage of the roof by debris build-up, ice & snow build-up or structural low spots, that's caused by standing water or 'ponding'; (2) Excessive walking on the roof and/ or walking on the roof by persons who do so improperly; (3) Improper flashing or sealing of any roof penetrations made after work by Bear House Build & Roofing Ltd has been completed ;(4) Any physical damage of whatever nature to the building material ; (5) Work done on the roof by any persons other than Bear House Build & Roofing Ltd.
Terms and Conditions for Roofing only
1. Our quotation is inclusive of VAT and is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
2. Our quotation is based on a non-invasive visual survey and is subject to change if concealed issues are identified.
3. We will keep the client fully informed of such findings, advise of any additional costs, and discuss options with the client prior to any additional works being undertaken.
4. With reference to flat roof installations, all membranes are laid to existing falls unless stated that the fall is to be altered prior to commencement of works.
5. For any repair works we will provide our professional recommendation, but we are unable to provide a guarantee for these works. We will always encourage the client to seek comparative quotes and recommendations.
6. If any consents, licenses, or other permissions are needed from any third parties such as landlords, planning authorities, local authorities, structural engineers or similar, it is the client’s responsibility to obtain the same in advance of the commencement of the works, unless otherwise agreed with the contractor.
7. By accepting our quotation, the client agrees to the payment terms noted on this quote, unless otherwise stated in our e-mail communication.
8. Where scaffolding is required, this will only be dismantled once final payment has been received.
9. Payments not received within 3 working days will be subject to a late penalty fee .
10. By accepting this quote, the client agrees that the contractor shall retain full title to the goods, materials and products used as outlined in this quote until full payment is made by the client.
11. By accepting our quote, the client agrees for the project to be ready for our attendance as scheduled. Should it not be possible to conduct the works quoted, a percentage of the quote will be charged accordingly.
12. The time allowed for works is subject to change, dependant on various factors, i.e., weather. Works may be completed earlier or later than anticipated but the labour cost quoted will remain the same.
13. Some works are weather/ temperature dependant and so whilst every effort is made to provide as much notice as possible, it may be necessary for works to be rescheduled at short notice. We will always do our very best to ensure the works are rescheduled for the same week if conditions allow.
14. The weather can sometimes be unpredictable and so we cannot guarantee that there will be no water ingress during the works should areas need to be exposed to the elements, though great care will be taken by the team to minimise the risk.
15. Cancellation of works needs to be in writing with a minimum of one weeks’ notice. Cancellations made within 7 days will be subject to a cancellation fee, which will include 5% of the quotation cost and any loss of profits which will be in form of labour costs due to not being able to book in works due to the cancellation. (£150 per labourer booked) The labour costs will not cover the full duration of the time the project would have taken.
16. Though great care is taken by the team, the vibrations from our works can sometimes cause minor internal cracks to plaster which we are unable to be held liable for. These are purely cosmetic and no cause for concern.
17. Where parking restrictions are in place, parking permits are to be supplied. Alternatively, the cost of parking will be added to the invoice on completion of works.
